Where can I eat?
Many Puerto Aventuras restaurants only open for high season, but there
is always something open. There are some exceptions:
-
The Italian Bakery off the plaza has great french toast, eggs, sandwiches
and juices. They have well priced lunch and dinner too, and good food.
Hands down the best pizza in Puerto Aventuras. What would be a double
pepperoni in the US wouldn't give you half what he does of pepperoni.
If you like the crust well done, say so!
-
Everybody
goes for breakfast at Café Ole, across from the Omni Hotel,
because they have fresh orange juice.
-
There is a Mexican comida corrida place behind the Italian Bakery.
They serve with soup, main course with salad and drink (agua de jamaica,
limeade, etc.) for 35 pesos. It is open only at midday.
-
The Pub, between the silver store next to O Solo Mio and the pharmacy,
has the best all around menu at normal prices. For example, an excellent
and filling lasagna and a side salad for 45 pesos. They have the best
salad dressing in town. Prices run around 40 to 65 pesos...higher
for steak or shrimp. But not too high.
-
Mediterraneo is usually open in the evenings except Monday. The food
is good and not high priced. Service is slow, but they treat everyone
like friends who can be kept waiting. No malice, just slow and very
nice.
-
The restaurant in the Omni Hotel has fairly good food at lunch time
and at breakfast. Can't beat the view!
-
O Solo Mio just changed chefs and there is some "French food."
The salad, pate, and snails are all good.
Warning - Richard's Steak House is very overpriced. They do have good
steaks, though. Don't eat the salad bar or you might get sick.
