Tiny
beach with reef
Paamul has a small, rocky, quiet beach. The sheltered cove has a reef
close in so you don't have to swim far to snorkel. If the waves are high,
be careful not to crash into the coral. Scuba
Mex dive shop on the beach rents snorkel gear.
Seemingly isolated from the rest of the coast, Paamul is a great little
RV Camper community boasting 200+ familys who visit each year for extended
stays.
Paamul is RV heaven
Most of the beach is lined with RVs. It isn't junky though, because many
of the RVs have beautiful porches built around them and are well kept.
The RV park owners also have basic, comfortable hotel rooms for $71 a night
double occupancy and allow camping. RV spaces with hookups run $16 a day
or so. You can call or fax the RV park and hotel 984 876 2691.
The
restaurant has a perfect view of the ocean and serves seafood and Mexican
specialties. It is cheaper and better than most of the restaurants in
nearby Puerto Aventuras. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and will
give you margaritas-to-go for the beach.
Scuba Mex dive shop has a safety
conscious and chatty staff who lead dives year round, and a house on the
beach with rooms to rent to divers.
